The making of Skrepkus paper clips

The initial idea called Superclip posted in the studio’s Brain Storage.

Deciding to make the clips in color.

Starting to work on the packaging. Taking our time to find the right concept: rectangular plastic, round plastic, certainly without a screw lid... Finally, two years later we decide to go with a metal round box with a transparent window in the lid.

Considering ways to make the packaging beautiful.

Art director: It has to have our logo in the center. Remove the paperclips from the lid. And the top one on the back, too.

Art director: The back looks nice now, but “Skrepkus” has to be curved. The placement of tags can also see some work.

Art director: Let’s not mix the languages together on the side.

Art director: And tune the tags down a bit.

The pilot sample reveals that the text on the side of the lid is distorted when the lid is pressed from a flat blank. Moving the text to the back.
