The making of the DJ Kotovsky poster

The designer comes up with several ideas. The art director approves one.

The illustrator draws a picture.

Thinking on the typography. Trying lettering.

Almost immediately realizing that this style of lettering doesn’t belong here. Deciding on a ready-made typeface.

First approach.

In between changing the illustration to make it look more like the original sketch.

Adding the text.

The result doesn’t satisfy the designer, so he gets back to the first illustration only slightly enlarging the records’ eyes.
