Hi! I’m Denis Kalinin and if you’re reading this report, I’m already through with my month-and-a-half internship at the Art. Lebedev Studio’s industrial design department.
The studio has a style of its own, which effects everything they touch—from the company’s office space interiors to manufactured products. Conceptually, everything feels solid and whole.
My internship provided me with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real industrial design projects for real customers and to see how the studio’s design process is organized. And this is, without saying, a valuable experience for any designer.
I want to thank Timur and the whole team for sharing their knowledge with me and for a warm, friendly environment.
To round it up, I’d like to offer a piece of advice for anyone interested in submitting a portfolio or those, anticipating Timur’s approval and internship invitation: during your term try your best to learn the most from everyday studio operations, it’s a treasure chest of information and it’s up to you to benefit the most from it.
