Sibur communication strategy

Overview
Task: to create a new image for a colossal holding company.

Sibur is a giant corporation. Its enterprises manly refine oil and produce plastic, glycols, acrylic acid, rubber, materials for manufacturing plastic tableware, polyethylene and other useful items. The company has also launched a charity program and now installs exercise equipment in public squares, holds sports tournaments, organizes workshops with star athletes and creates jobs.

The concept created at the studio helps correct the situation and tell everyone about Sibur.

After researching the competition and potential standard messages we decided to get rid of the beaten corporate stamps that are now used everywhere. All those “sustainable development,” “care for the environment,” “increased responsibility,” etc. are too generic and convey no information about the company itself.

The new concept presents Sibur as, first of all, a trailblazer that wants to be different, is constantly evolving and changing the surrounding reality. People don’t even realize what a petrochemical plant is capable of.

Sibur creates a new economic, cultural and infrastructure landscape across the industry and the entire country.

A detailed study of Sibur’s activities revealed that the work of the company blends many opposites. On the one hand, it is stable, but also strives to constantly move forward. On the one hand, it observes Russian traditions, but on the other, successfully enters international markets. The result is a synthesis of seemingly incompatible concepts. Yes, synthesis! That’s the word we need.

Synthesis of achievements

Синтез достижений

And since synthesis means union, then unrelated areas should be inextricably intertwined, flowing one into another. High-tech industry, hard science and rich social life are combined as colorful streams in a huge whirlwind where they become inseparable.

The result is a fantastic and beautiful shape that visualizes the company’s achievements in the industrial and public spheres.

Each element of the whirlwind is cosmically beautiful and completely unique.

All elements are constantly living and moving, resembling the company’s employees: no two are the same.

The vortex is recognizable and can be replicated in any format. It can grow and shrink, stretch and constrict, sometimes taking the most unexpected forms. But it always remains recognizable, mainly because of the colors used. The dynamics can be changed, but the variations of the whirlwind will always remain familiar.

Hundreds of identity elements can be used to build fantastic textures for illustrating all sorts of topics. If necessary, each texture can start living on its own, growing to the size of the whole world. The scale is limited only by the designer’s imagination.

The elements of the concept were developed to live on any outdoor media. Billboards or City formats—no problem. Poster or magazine spreads—easy. At the first stage of the project, the client wants to use only tangible objects, but the elements of the concept will also look great on computer screens. The image works great and attracts attention literally everywhere.
