Scala was founded in 1978 and involved in developing business management systems for minicomputers.

Historical notice: Minicomputer of the time had nothing in common with today’s pocket gadgets, but was smaller than usual contemporary computers, i.e. instead of an entire gym it occypied just several cabinets.

Scala PC-based system was developed in 1986–1988 starting Scala’s modern history.

The company’s clientele includes Ericsson, Swisscom, Siemens, Novartis, AstraZeneca, ABB, Merck, TetraPak, Atlas Copco, PepsiCo, Four Seasons, Swagelok, Whirlpool, Everready and many others—all in all, over 7.5 thousand names. Scala operates in 65 countries with dealership network covering more than 100 countries and headquarters in Amsterdam, London, Stockholm, Budapest, Dubai, Singapore, Shanghai and Tokio.
