Surdin typeface

Surdin is a contemporary serif typeface with classical proportions and the character of inscriptions carved in stone forever. The elegant contours of the graphemes exist outside of time and perform confidently in dense text due to the low contrast.

Surdin is a muted serif. Formally possessing all the properties of a serif typeface, it does not reveal itself to its full strength as a serif, but rather exists somewhere between it and a grotesque.

The slight contrast in strokes forms a confident and legible image, and in bold styles creates a density uncharacteristic of serifs.

In large point sizes, the carefully thought-out logic of the writing tool becomes noticeable, giving headlines, signs, and logos a special elegance.
