The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) is the largest national school of management. It ranks first in the rating of business education institutions, conducts extensive research in economics, management, social sciences and humanities. The academy’s ecosystem allows students to receive continuous professional education.
Website analysis and research
Specialists of the studio and the Presidential Academy conducted a large-scale study: they examined web analytics, carefully analyzed the composition of the audience of the existing website and its preferences. As a result, they were able to create a structure that focuses on the main groups of visitors: applicants, their parents, experts and scientists.
The structure of the website developed jointly with the specialists of the academy corresponds to the ecosystem principles created in RANEPA. Here, people study and improve their qualifications throughout their life. Which is why the website that a person will see every day for several years is made as simple and as intuitive as possible.
The dynamic main page resembles portals of modern news agencies: it displays news, key information about the academy, posts from social networks and videos on the most relevant topics.
The main page has two versions, a light one and a particularly striking dark one.
Navigation through all sections in one window
The project team accomplished a tremendous architectural undertaking: hundreds of pages are now conveniently organized and arranged into a compact navigation menu that corresponds to the idea of the academy’s ecosystem. The elegant structure logically connects all components to each other: all sections are accessible from any page.
The Admissions Office page is as clear as it could possibly be. Instead of tediously digging through forms and documents, applicants receive all the necessary information in just a couple of clicks: everything is logically structured, making it obvious what to do and how.
The smart wizard helps understand which of the academy’s three thousand programs are most suitable for a particular user.
The website has blocks whose illustrations are made from many particles. Hover the mouse cursor over such an image and it scatters, adding beauty and dynamics to the website.
The employee page is a summary of information about their professional activities, from a list of disciplines they teach to a list of published papers.
The academy is both an educational institution and an authoritative source of expert knowledge. News filtered by topic, interviews with experts and students’ stories about unique features of education are all neatly collected and paginated for comfortable exploration.
Clear and easily understandable rules were developed for the highly branched website.
