Pulkovo is the main airport of Saint Petersburg and one of the key air hubs of the country, forming the first impression of the city for millions of passengers. The studio designed the logo and identity of Pulkovo Airport.
The graphic part of the logo combines two expressive and very recognizable images: the famous drawbridges of Petersburg and airplane tails.
The text part is done in a serif typeface reminiscent of Peter the First’s civil script.
Several descriptors add visual variety to the identity.
The pattern is inspired by the impressive ornament of the ceiling in the public areas of Pulkovo’s new terminal. Different gradient angles make it dynamic and variable.
The pattern itself is placed inside the logo mark, and the logo mark itself is also used as a graphic element.
